Thank you for visiting our website and taking the time to learn more about our school! St. Bernard School is committed to providing an authentic Catholic education where students are taught the truths and beauty of our Catholic faith in the context of strong academic programming. The current administration and faculty maintain the same mission and tradition as our school founders from 155 years ago!
Celebrating our Catholic Identity and forming our students in their Faith is our top priority at St. Bernard School. This is evident in the examples of our faculty and staff, our emphasis on learning about the saints, our varied times of prayer throughout the day, our weekly all-school Mass, periodic retreats and making confession available, use of the Spirit of Truth Religion Series, frequent reference to Sacred Scripture, intentional language about vocation and God's plan, and the goal of integrating a Catholic worldview into all subject areas. In addition to that long list, we are continually trying to guide our students to pursue wisdom and virtue and to direct them toward what is True, Good, and Beautiful. Our students graduate St. Bernard with a personal relationship with Jesus and a sense of purpose in their lives.
By prioritizing Catholic Identity, we are actually able to enhance our academic program. The great Catholic Liberal Arts Tradition toward which we strive is the standard for academic growth and excellence. Our core curriculum, supported by our OptimALL services and intervention and enriched by our aides and gifted services, allows us to maintain a high standard while still meeting the needs of each student. Our students are continually prepared for the next level, develop strong habits and work ethic, are taught to be critical thinkers, and are inspired to love learning and the pursuit of wisdom. Furthermore, St. Bernard School's partnership and collaboration with parents enables us to nurture students' particular gifts and talents and to draw out the best version of themselves.
Finally, our school is blessed with - and is grateful for - an amazing network of support that makes our mission possible:
